Shirley Ashley, MD, attended Loma Linda University Medical School and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She has practiced medicine for nearly 25 years, caring for patients from birth to 20 years of age. Dr. Ashley sees patients for a wide variety of issues, including ADHD, depression, menstrual problems and contraception.

Originally from the East coast, Dr. Ashley spent seven years with her family at the Zambian Mission hospital where she hatched her own chicken layers from eggs.

A real animal-lover, Dr. Ashley has had some unusual pets over the years. Along with the usual cat and dog, she has cared for a wild baby rabbit, a wild turtle and a ground hog. When not in the office, she enjoys reading, amateur photography, hiking and canoeing/kayaking (especially if the water is smooth). She is married to Donald Ashley (also a physician at AHMG). They have three grown children.
